A Week in Google Ads – 27th July

Most of last week was spent checking whether the numbers were actually telling the truth. I reviewed every campaign and search term for a GP practice, then spent a proper day working on my own reporting dashboards.

I dug into lead quality for a law firm client, because more enquiries mean nothing if they’re the wrong enquiries.

I chased down some GA4 reporting issues, went through HubSpot conversion data for a B2B SaaS client to work out which keywords are actually producing customers (and which are just producing clicks) and compared a test campaign against the main account for a courier client.

I also built a new brand campaign for a client after competitors started appearing when people searched for their name.

There were a couple of good moments too.

An old client came back wanting to run Google Ads again, which is always great news and I had a call with another client about how their website is holding their ads back, because sometimes the problem isn’t the ads.

The less good moment?

I smashed the glass side panel of my PC while cleaning it. 😭
